Yummy Masala Maggi Recipe 2 Ways
Here's a delightful recipe for Masala Maggi that packs a flavorful punch with simple ingredients and steps:
Masala Maggi Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tbsp mustard oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
½ tsp salt
A small pinch of turmeric powder
A small pinch of red chili powder
¼ cup frozen green peas (use fresh peas for a longer sauté if preferred)
2 cups water
2 packets of Maggi noodles
1 or 2 Maggi tastemaker sachets (as per preference)
1½ tsp butter
1½ tsp chopped garlic
1 dry red chili
A small pinch of Kashmiri red chili powder
Instructions:
Prepare the Base:
Heat 1 tbsp of mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add ½ tsp cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns soft and translucent.
Cook the Tomatoes and Spices:
Incorporate the chopped tomato, salt, turmeric, and red chili powder.
Stir well and cook until the tomatoes are mushy and well-combined with the spices.
Add Peas and Water:
Mix in the green peas and sauté for a few minutes (longer if using fresh peas).
Pour in 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil.
Cooking the Maggi:
Break the Maggi noodles into the boiling water.
Add the Maggi tastemaker(s) and cook uncovered for about 1 minute.
Stir well and continue cooking for another minute until the noodles are tender.
Garlic Butter Tadka:
In a separate small pan, melt the butter.
Add the chopped garlic, dry red chili, and a pinch of Kashmiri red chili powder.
Sauté until the garlic turns golden brown. Be careful to not let the garlic or butter burn.
Final Touch:
Pour the hot garlic butter mixture over the cooked Maggi.
Stir well to ensure the flavors are well combined.
Serve Hot:
Serve your flavorful Masala Maggi hot and enjoy the burst of tastes!
